With much of the UK in the grip of wintry weather, the group stated drivers need to go gently when on the road.
It suggested people opt for the highest gear possible in order to avoid unnecessary wheelspin.
The company also recommended people who go into a slide when driving keep off the brake, accelerator and clutch until they regain control of their vehicle.
In addition, motorists were advised not to spin their wheels excessively when stuck in snow or ice, as this can cause tyres to burst.
Finally, Protyre urged drivers to stay alert and give other road users plenty of space.
Meanwhile, the same company recently suggested people could save themselves the inconvenience of having to make a car insurance claim by replacing worn or defective tyres as soon as they noticed them.
