Car insurance customers may be impressed by safe C6
People who are aware there are some things even the best car insurance policy cannot replace after an accident may want to check out the Citroen C6.

According to New Car Net, the model comes out on top when assessed using the revised Euro Ncap rating system.

Previously, vehicles used to receive separate scores for their performance on adult and child occupant protection, as well as their ability to minimise injuries of pedestrians who are involved in a crash.

However, now cars are given an overall rating.

Euro Ncap explained this change was made in order to encourage manufacturers to place more emphasis on pedestrian safety.

New Car Net found the updated criteria had a negative impact on the ratings of a number of models.

Massimo Pini from the website said: "What the points table shows is that several manufacturers still have work to do to if they're going to get high scores in the future."

Last year, research from New Car Net found drivers in London were the least likely to buy an alternative fuel-powered car.
