Scottish car insurance customers 'must be prepared'

Tayside police issued this advice after a recent dip in temperature resulted in a number of early morning accidents.
Officers stated motorists must be prepared for the fact conditions can be quite changeable at this time of year.
They added taking simple precautions could help cut a driver's chances of being involved in road accidents.
Chief Inspector Sandy Bowman stated: "Maintenance is key and ensuring that the vehicle is serviced correctly is extremely important."
He added: "Brakes, tyres, lights, batteries, windscreens and wiper blades must be in good working order."
Meanwhile, officers have revealed that during Tayside police's four-week festive road safety campaign, they arrested some 43 motorists for being behind the wheel while under the influence of alcohol.
