Skiers advised on how to avoid car insurance claims
Car Insurance News - Published: 16/01/2009

According to TyreSafe, when driving on icy roads it is vital tyres are correctly inflated and have sufficient tread depth.
Chairman Rob Beddis said a vehicle overflowing with heavy ski equipment may require higher tyre pressure than a car carrying a normal load.
He also stated: "Driving in snowy mountain regions requires a good level of tread depth to maintain traction with the road and stay in control of the vehicle."
TyreSafe pointed out holidaymakers could significantly reduce their chances of being involved in an accident - and having to make a subsequent car insurance claim - by taking simple precautions.
Earlier this winter, the group suggested it might be a good idea for motorists in the UK to fit cold weather tyres during months when temperatures regularly fall below freezing.
