Commercial Vehicle Show abandoned
Van Insurance News - Published: 15/01/2009

Scheduled to take place from April 28th to 30th in Birmingham at the National Exhibition Centre, the gathering has been abandoned as a result of the economic slowdown.
Organisers stated challenging trading conditions have made it virtually impossible for manufacturers to dedicate resources to this type of event.
Commenting on the cancellation, chief executive of the Road Haulage Association Roger King said: "This is of course disappointing, but given the current economic climate and the uncertainty created, it is the only decision we could make."
Meanwhile, Nick Jones, chief executive of the Society of Operations Engineers, reassured exhibitors they would all receive a full refund.
In related news, organisers of the show said in December - although commercial vehicle sales were slowly declining - there were still people looking to buy.
