Cold snap could lead to more car insurance claims
Car Insurance News - Published: 08/01/2009

Motorists have been warned to be on their guard against vehicle thieves after six cars in the region were stolen during the course of one morning as they were being defrosted.
Officers explained the criminals were able to make off with the cars as they had been left unattended with the keys in the ignition.
As the cold weather is set to continue, police are urging other motorists not to make the same mistake.
People were also reminded that all cars can attract thieves.
Chief Inspector Haydn Roberts stated: "It is not only high-powered vehicles that are targeted and so our advice to all drivers is to stay in their vehicle when defrosting."
Drivers who have their motors stolen under these kinds of circumstances may have trouble getting their car insurance provider to pay up.
