Retailers 'should offer van insurance customers affordable deals'

EurotaxGlass's said dealers should be able to stay afloat by making sure they use their knowledge of the local market and providing the models customers really want.
According to George Alexander, editor of Glass's Guide to Used Commercial Vehicles, one of the biggest challenges for retailers will be staying positive.
"If the next couple of months are going to see demand slipping further ... when supply grows and business is traditionally slow ... the first requirement is to keep a cool head," he advised.
Mr Alexander concluded firms needed to make sure they were offering the vans customers want at affordable prices.
Last month, EurotaxGlass's claimed dealers selling used heavyweight commercial vehicles who invested in high-quality stock were more likely to achieve good sales figures in early 2009.
