More drink-drivers in Northern Ireland 'risking a car insurance claim'
Car Insurance News - Published: 23/12/2008

Figures released by the force revealed, during the first two weeks of this year's anti drink-drive campaign, 199 drivers and bikers were found to be over the limit - a nine per cent increase of the same period in 2007.
Acting Chief Inspector Rosie Leech said: "Police will not tolerate people who insist on driving after having taken drugs or drink."
She added: "We are again appealing for all motorists to consider the consequences of their actions."
Ms Leech also pointed out drivers who were convicted of drink-driving would probably struggle to secure car insurance in the future.
When launching this year's anti drink-drive campaign, Northern Ireland police also unveiled the new breathalyser they would be using to catch motorists who were over the limit.
