Car insurance customers urged not to risk a claim

This comes after research by Auto Windscreens revealed 77 per cent of drivers do not check for any potential problems before setting out on a long journey.
It also found 25 per cent of motorists do not replace worn tyres, while 29 per cent hang around before doing anything about faulty brake lights.
On top of this, the survey showed 47 per cent of vehicle owners do not get windscreen chips seen to immediately, with 26 per cent admitting they would wait for a crack to develop before getting it fixed.
Abu Haris-Shafi, managing director at Auto Windscreens, stated: "We're urging motorists to keep their cars running efficiently and safely this Christmas with regular service checks and by repairing problems as soon as they spot them."
Meanwhile, the company announced last month that its new website would make it easier for drivers to book repairs.
