Police and supermarkets attempt to stamp out drink-driving
Car Insurance News - Published: 19/12/2008

Tesco and Tayside police have teamed up to put bottle-neck collars on alcoholic drinks in stores in Angus, reminding people about the dangers of drink-driving.
Motorists are being urged to be particularly cautious about taking to the road the morning after a big night out.
Chief Superintendent Alan Campbell said: "It takes a substantial amount of time for the body to process and dispose of alcohol and there is no way of speeding up this process."
He added people should organise alternative travel the morning after a party or give themselves plenty of time to recover before getting behind the wheel.
Drivers who are caught drink-driving may find they are unable to secure low cost motor insurance in the future and could even be handed a prison sentence.
