More traffic officers could cut car insurance claims
Car Insurance News - Published: 19/12/2008

According to the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM), the current regulations do not necessarily need to be changed, there just has to be more traffic officers on the road to ensure people abide by them.
This comes after the Department for Transport announced plans to give police powers to hand out instant fines and penalty points to drink-drivers.
Director of policy and research at IAM Neil Greig admitted the number of drink-drivers has dropped over recent years, but pointed out the figures appear to have levelled off.
"We seem to have reached the hardcore of people who are willing to risk it," he said.
Mr Greig claimed drivers may be more reluctant to get behind the wheel after consuming alcohol, if there was more chance of them getting caught and prosecuted.
