Christmas card initiative could cut car crime
Car Insurance News - Published: 17/12/2008

Officers have been sending Christmas cards to criminals warning them they will be closely watched during the holiday period.
The cards include a poem with the message 'Santa may come down your chimney, but we'll come through your door'.
In addition to this, the cards include a letter from Chief Superintendent Caroline Ball warning offenders about the consequences of committing crime.
Ms Ball said: "Christmas and New Year can be a time of year when criminals give in to temptation and reoffend."
She added the cards were a warning that people engaging in offences - such as car crime - will not get away with it.
Meanwhile, Greater Manchester police have also urged motorists not to give in to the temptation to drink-drive this Christmas, as if they do a car insurance claim could be the least of their problems.
