Allianz Engineering is to provide inspection services for Morrisons supermarket, the company has announced.

The group revealed it will now be responsible for inspecting all pressure lifting and handling equipment across all the 382 UK stores, including distribution depots and cooking facilities.

Commenting on the news, Brian Davis, regional business manager with Allianz Engineering, said he was delighted the firm had been chosen to partner Morrisons.

He stated: "This is a great achievement and demonstrates the strength of our proposition and our expertise."

Carol Meggison from HSBC Insurance - who played a key role in placing the tender - predicted Allianz Engineering would provide "an outstanding service".

Meanwhile, Amanda Ellis from Morrisons said the successful company had clearly stood out from its competitors.
