Free screws could cut car insurance claims
Car Insurance News - Published: 10/12/2008

Downley Garage has teamed up with the Community Safety Partnership in a bid to reduce the number of registration plates stolen in the area.
Mechanics from the company have agreed to fit security screws to its customers' licence plates during routine services or MOT checks.
Inspector Russ Murden said it was important to try and stop thieves stealing registration plates - as the items are often used in additional criminal activity.
He explained it is not uncommon for such plates to be used by criminals to steal fuel from petrol stations.
Inspector Murden stated: "The screws will prevent plates from being stolen and will hopefully act as a deterrent too."
In related news, the Safer Communities Partnership in west Oxfordshire has organised a roadshow in order to remind motorists not to leave valuables on display in unattended vehicles.
