Parents 'can help children reduce their car insurance premiums'

The group explained that novice drivers - especially teenagers - are most likely to be involved in a traffic collision in the first few months after they pass their test.
It suggested one way parents can help keep their offspring safe is to encourage them to continue their lessons with a professional instructor even after they have qualified.
The organisation added mums and dads should accompany their children on routes they are likely to make on a regular basis and point out any potential dangers.
Parents were also advised to travel with their kids to ensure they get used to a range of conditions - such as at night, in poor visibility and on rural roads.
Meanwhile, IAM recently reported parents could help change attitudes among young male motorists towards driving without car insurance.
