Northants police target car criminals
Car Insurance News - Published: 13/11/2008

Operation Tiger has been running for three weeks, with arrest figures rising each week.
During the seven days ending November 7th 2008, 26 arrests were made in connection with a variety of offences, including theft of, theft from and criminal damage to motor vehicles.
Sergeant Dennis Murray said he was delighted with the results of the crackdown, which he said were evidence the force is working hard to eradicate car crime.
"Offenders should beware because these figures show that we are out there actively targeting people who commit vehicle crime," he added.
Although car insurance customers in Northamptonshire may gain some reassurance from the outcome of Operation Tiger, they cannot afford to become complacent about protecting their vehicles.
This was demonstrated on Monday evening, when thieves broke into a house in Brackley in order to steal the keys to a Volkswagen Golf which they then drove off in, reports the Banbury Guardian.
