Home insurance policy checks for Bonfire Night

People holding their own firework displays in their garden have been advised to check if their buildings and contents insurance cover garden sheds, fences and furniture, This is Money reports.
Data released by Tesco revealed that November 5th last year saw 240 per cent increase in home insurance claims.
The company's head of home insurance Jim Bruce said: "Bonfire night is an enjoyable time of year for the family but with more people staying at home to celebrate, make sure you take the necessary precautions to protect your property and yourselves."
Bonfire Night revellers have also been advised to ensure their policy pays out if a guest is injured on their property.
Meanwhile, the Norwich Union has claimed that November 5th is the worst night in the year for burglaries as figures rise 27 per cent.
