Ensure home insurance covers Halloween frights

The financial data collection and research company said that homeowners need to be cautious about potential accidents involving trick or treaters on their property.
When people welcome children into their homes they become responsible for any injuries resulting from accidents or illnesses suffered.
Defaqto's principal consultant on general insurance Mike Powell said: "At this spooky time of year, people could get a fright if parents choose to sue because their child tripped up a driveway or suffered an allergic reaction when eating home made treats."
Different police forces and councils around the country are providing homeowners who do not wish to take part in the festivities with no trick or treat posters to stick to their doors.
People who wish to welcome children have been advised to leave porch lights on to make it easier for them to determine which houses they can call upon.
