Winter driving advice issued
Car Insurance News - Published: 22/10/2008

Graeme Trudgill, technical and corporate affairs executive at the British Insurance Brokers' Association, said these days most cars are able to cope with changes in weather.
However, there are still steps drivers ought to take to ensure they are able to contend with winter conditions, the expert stated.
It is important that motorists check their antifreeze, windscreen wipers and the condition of their tyres, he said.
Additionally, people may want to consider keeping a blanket in their boot in case they break down, as well as an emergency triangle and a fully-charged mobile phone to enable them to call for help, Mr Trudgill recommended.
Car insurance customers and other road users may also benefit from taking the advice of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents and having their cars fully serviced before the start of winter.
