Customers of rental firm Europcar will have a new eco-friendly model to choose from, the company has announced.

The Peugeot 308 will be available to car insurance customers in hatchback, 110 bhp diesel and HDi 90 models.

Highly efficient on fuel, the model is likely to slash the cost of running a vehicle for car insurance customers.

Christian Stein, marketing director at Peugeot, says: "The fleet ensures customers will benefit from a car that offers outstanding performance with style, combined with highly-impressive environmental credentials."

It is ideal for vehicle owners thinking about reducing their carbon footprint, Europcar adds, with the company being committed to offering more choice to its customers.

The cars are available for rental at Europcar's 250 locations throughout the UK and have CO2 emissions of only 120g/km.
