Free tyre checks on offer
Car insurance customers will be able to benefit from free tyre checks this month as part of TyreSafe's Tyre Safety Month.

Suzuki is supporting the campaign, which is intended to reduce the number of accidents caused by defective or poorly-maintained tyres, by offering the service to motorists at its dealerships.

Car drivers have until the end of October to head down to participating outlets to have their tyres checked by professionals.

Denis Houston, director of Aftersales at Suzuki GB, said: "As we approach the winter period, driving conditions on the road deteriorate, and therefore looking after your tyres becomes ever more important."

Having a tyre check can "make all the difference" and keep people safe on the roads, he added.

Rob Beddis, chairman of TyreSafe, recently said that he hoped motorists would listen to the organisation's warnings so that future accidents are reduced.

The loss of life through defective and under-inflated tyres is "unnecessary", he added.ADNFCR-1058-ID-18819768-ADNFCR
