Keep car keys 'out of sight'
Car Insurance News - Published: 07/10/2008

Thames Valley police reported that a number of incidents involved burglars stealing keys from inside their victims' homes before driving away in cars parked on driveways.
Car insurance customers looking to avoid becoming victims of thieves themselves may want to follow the advice of the police and take steps to boost security.
Householders were urged to ensure their doors are locked and keys are taken out, to store car keys upstairs and to keep cars locked or stored in garages.
"Another reasonably cheap way of preventing your car from being stolen is to install a collapsible bollard," the force advised.
It will be "impossible" for thieves to move the car without having to smash the bollard, it added.
Last month, South Yorkshire police reported that a number of thefts from cars that had been left unlocked occurred in Doncaster.
Two youths were arrested and released on bail in connection with the thefts.
