Challenge tickets, drivers told

Broadcaster and motoring editor at the Mirror Quentin Willson said that often such notices are issued "wrongly" and ultimately "won't stand up in court".
Approximately 60 per cent of tickets that have been challenged by their recipients are eventually cancelled, Willson explained.
By taking such steps, drivers may be able to ensure their car insurance premiums do not go up if their challenge is successful.
The former TopGear presenter also suggested that regularly servicing cars and ensuring tyres are correctly inflated can save motorists money.
He said such steps could help to save 25 per cent in fuel.
Car insurance customers may be interested to learn that a recent study conducted by the Energy Saving Trust in association with Ford showed that "smart" driving techniques helped improve fuel economy significantly.
The trust said its research revealed that reducing "wasteful" acceleration and braking had both environmental and financial benefits.
