Speed camera plans unveiled
Car Insurance News - Published: 16/09/2008

The Lancashire Evening Post reports that the list was drawn up after the public was asked where they would like speed limits to be regularly enforced.
A spokesman for the Lancashire Partnership for Road Safety said: "It's a list of sites where the community has said, 'We think there's a problem with speeding on these roads'."
The organisation has now carried out speed testing on the sites, which are now awaiting approval from local councillors, the newspaper noted.
Considering the number of speed cameras now in operation, motorists may be risking fines and higher car insurance premiums if they choose to speed, it was recently suggested.
James Flynn OBE, chief executive of RoadPilot, recently said that speeding was a "common vice" among motorists in the UK.
A study carried out by his firm found that 71 per cent of motorists surveyed said they exceed the speed limit on over a quarter of all journeys.
