Motorists told to 'keep valuables out of sight'

Officers from the force have urged motorists to avoid leaving valuable items, such as stereos and sat navs on display.
Detective Chief Inspector Terry Branson said during the summer months many people are on holiday or take day trips, often leaving valuables in their cars.
"Remember to secure all your items in the boot or, if possible, leave expensive objects at home. Don't hide anything in your glove compartment; if a thief does get into your car, this will be the first place they look," he advised.
Drivers with sat navs should also remove their cradles and any marks it leaves before going away from their car, as these are "tell-tale signs for a thief", the policeman explained.
Earlier this month, Deeside Sergeant Iwan Jones describing leaving a sat nav in a car as being like "leaving £150 on your dashboard", the Evening Leader reports.
