Van driver has golf clubs stolen
A customised set of golf clubs was stolen when a van parked in a Lillington Street, Warwick was broken into by thieves this week.

Jason Greenway, a floor-layer, left his car outside Leamington Liberal Club on Saturday and returned on Monday to find his golf clubs and sat nav had been stolen, the Warwick Courier reports.

Mr Greenway, who cannot afford to replace the clubs, said he was "upset" and "really gutted" by the break-in.

It is not known whether Mr Greenway had van insurance.

However, a spokeswoman for Warwickshire police, said numerous warnings had been issued to motorists about leaving their valuables in their vehicles.

"We cannot prevent opportunist thieves from taking items that are left on display in vehicles and cannot stress enough the importance of people removing anything of value," she commented.

In related news, Warwickshire police recently urged people to take steps to secure their homes while they are away to prevent them from being burgled.ADNFCR-1058-ID-18755522-ADNFCR
