Motorist complains of 'mystery speeder'
A motorist in Kent has made a complaint to Audi UK after he returned from a business trip to discover it had been driven while supposedly being serviced.

Mark Reece told Kent Online that he had left his Audi RS 4 with a dealership for its annual service but when he collected the car he noticed something was amiss.

Checking his computerised tracker device, Mr Reece discovered that the car had apparently been driven several miles above the speed limit.

"Not only had it been driven for 16 miles - whoever was driving it had broken the speed limit many times in a 30-mile an hour zones," Mr Reece explained.

It was also driven at over 60mph in residential streets, he stated, adding that someone had started up the car on 27 occasions.

Mr Reece said he had yet to receive any speeding tickets, which could increase his car insurance premiums.

This week, the Dorset Echo reported that motorists who speed through the residential area of Merley will now be given reminders to curb their speed in the form of signs on the side of dustbins.
