Police warning issued over burglary risk
Car Insurance News - Published: 18/08/2008

The Grantham Journal reports that a man called on the woman and asked if she required any work carrying out, before requesting a glass of water.
According to the newspaper, the woman discovered that her purse had been stolen, prompting local police to urge people to be aware of the threat of distraction burglaries.
Despite the incident occurring on Monday August 11th, the woman was unaware her possessions had been stolen for a number of days, the news provider noted.
Last week, home insurance customers were among those warned about such distraction crimes by police in West Yorkshire.
A number of incidents prompted Tim Hunt of Holbeck CID to urge locals to be "vigilant" and not to allow unfamiliar callers into their homes.
"If you are suspicious of them, call the police," he advised.
