Car insurance cost is consumers' main concern
Car Insurance News - Published: 23/07/2008

According to a study by Fairinvestment.co.uk, 57 per cent of consumers named the price of insurance as their main concern, while 19 per cent cited the level of cover.
The inclusion of a courtesy car option was considered important by five per cent while breakdown cover, discounts for additional drivers, low excesses and a protected no claims bonus each won two per cent of the vote.
James Caldwell, director of the financial information portal, claims drivers should not buy car insurance based on cost alone.
"Motorists should be careful choosing their car insurance by price alone, the cheapest car insurance is not always the best and there are other aspects to be taken into consideration. I would advise anybody shopping for car insurance to compare deals not just on price but also policy features," he said.
Drivers looking to make savings should explore options such as driving within the speed limits and avoiding modifying their vehicles, Insurance.co.uk recently claimed.
