Ways to save on car insurance
Car Insurance News - Published: 16/07/2008

Insurance.co.uk claims motorists can reduce the cost of their premiums by driving carefully to reduce the risk of being in an accident and avoid modifying vehicles, which could make cover more expensive.
The firm said speeding tickets add a further £13 to people's premiums while accident-free drivers can gain rewards such as no-claims discounts of as much as 70 per cent.
Meanwhile modifying a vehicle to an extent that it changes it from the manufacturer's standard specifications will also increase the cost of car insurance, the website claims.
Other ways motorists can reduce the cost of running a car include avoiding driving at high speeds and emptying the vehicle of any items not needed to help save fuel.
In other news, the Association of British Insurers recently claimed some drivers in the UK are making fraudulent car insurance claims to cover their personal debts.
