Dyson to build electric car

According to the Daily Mail, Sir James Dyson is planning to release a car that requires no petrol onto the market and he believes that within ten years motorists will choose electric vehicles over petrol-powered alternatives.
The car's battery will be charged by solar panels mounted on the roof and the motor used by the vehicle will be based on those used in the company's vacuum cleaners and hand dryers.
Sir James told the newspaper: "Electric cars are seen as city cars and to go 30 mph is quite enough, but in the future that will change. An electric motor can go at very high speeds".
Motorists could be interested to know the money they save on fuel costs could be used to pay for their car insurance cover.
Sir James is best known for his dual cyclone bagless vacuum cleaner.
