Flood victim "lucky" to have insurance

The resident in Hull, one of the worst hit areas, said work began on her house two months ago, after the floods of last summer.
Jean Wright, 71, a former hospice worker, said: "I was lucky to have contents insurance but work only started on my house about two months ago.
"I kept ringing up my insurer and eventually when I told them I could take no more they sent one of their men out to me. From there the work started on rebuilding my home."
Mrs Wright and her husband have been living in a caravan since the floods, with over 4,700 households in the UK still living in temporary accommodation, caravans or on the top floor of their home following the flooding disasters.
A study by the Association of British Insurers found 80 per cent of people who were affected by the flooding last year think there is an increasing danger of a repeat, with three-quarters thinking little is being done to improve the situation.
