Citroen wins safety award
Motorists looking to save money on their car insurance could consider a Citroen after the French company won four prizes at the British Insurance Car Security Awards.

The firm's C6, C4 Picasso, C5 and C4 Exclusive models all won the top prize in their respective fields at the event, which was held at Thatcham's Motor Insurance Repair Research Centre, Motors Today reports.

Xavier Duchemin, managing director of Citroen UK, told the website the accolades reaffirm the company's reputation as one of the safest and secure vehicle manufacturers in the industry.

"We are dedicated to developing security technology so that our customers not only benefit from owning an award-winning, reassuringly secure vehicle, but also save money with ultra-low insurance ratings," he said.

Thatcham's is a company which primarily conducts research and produces data for use by vehicle manufacturers, repair specialists and insurance firms, with the aim of improving safety and security.
