Insuring older cars costs "peanuts"
Car Insurance News - Published: 12/06/2008

Martin Mosley of Carparts-direct.co.uk believes insurance, depreciation and running costs are significantly lower and claims those whose cars are older need only insure them third-party.
He added that limiting the number of miles travelled can drive insurance premiums down by a substantial amount.
Mr Moseley stated the money people can save makes the choice one worth considering.
"Lots of our customers will buy an older car, paying around £1,000, spend a few hundred pounds on it and run it on a low budget. Tax, insurance, servicing and fuel can be less than one year's depreciation on a brand new car," he said.
Those who enjoy taking their classic vehicle out find it is the most practical and inexpensive way to drive.
Carparts-direct.co.uk was formed 25 years ago and offers items such as alternators, brake callipers and coil springs.
