Motor insurance aggregators told to improve
A new report has claimed that motor insurance aggregator sites need to improve the way they operate.

Research by Defaqto examined where the industry is headed and looked at 41 aggregators including Confused.com, Insurance.co.uk and Moneysupermarket.com.

Summaries of the key features and benefits of each site were recorded as well as a rating of how good they were at their job was made.

The author of the report, Mike Powell, said the market for these companies had boomed over the last few years but a lot of the same problems remain that were found in Defaqto's previous study.

"Our first research in October 2007 identified a number of serious issues with the way some aggregator websites worked. The findings in our latest report show that many of these issues are still with us," he said.

Defaqto is an independent company which aims to help people make sensible decisions concerning their finances.
