Policies to suit every budget

Policies to suit every budget
Following a recent survey by MoneyExpert.com, which showed that up to 11 per cent of people who drive without car insurance do so because of costs, the British Insurance Brokers' Association (BIBA) has defended the industry, saying that there are levels of cover to suit everybody.

Graeme Trudgill, technical and corporate affairs executive for BIBA, claims that such a plethora of choice exists that there is always a policy for every type of budget.

He highlighted the different methods of payment available as well as the different levels of cover on offer to consumers.

"There is masses of choice out there. Instalment facilities are available and even short-period policies; you can have whatever level of cover you wish. Brokers can always offer an insurance solution for any motorist," he said.

MoneyExpert.com's survey concluded that up to 350,000 motorists admitted to driving without insurance cover at some point over the last year.
