Brits 'argue with neighbours'
Published: 07/04/2008

A poll by Allianz Insurance revealed that 1.1 million households had rowed with next door, with loud music being a major irritant.
Only one-third of the 3,000 respondents said they trusted their neighbours, while six per cent had sought legal advice about their neighbours' activities.
"Disputes between neighbours are common and noise in one form or another is often the cause," said Simon Coughlin of Allianz Insurance.
"Last year, our customer helplines received hundreds of calls from policyholders asking for help to resolve a dispute with a neighbour.
"Many of these disputes start in the spring as the daylight hours get longer and people get out and start enjoying their gardens again," he added.
As the weather improves, people are likely to spend more time in their gardens, increasingly the likelihood of upsetting the neighbours.
