Motorists loyal to their insurers

Motorists loyal to their insurers
Only around a quarter of drivers change their car insurance each year, according to a price comparison website.

GoCompare.com said that despite the wide variety of choice in a highly competitive market, most Brits stuck with their current provider.

Hayley Parsons, the site's managing director, said shopping around was usually the best way to save money.

"I'm always amazed that only around a quarter of people switch their insurer each year – potentially throwing away hundreds of pounds," she said.

"The good news is that with comparison sites it's never been easier to shop around for a good deal.

"By spending a little time shopping around you could make significant savings," Ms Parsons added.

GoCompare.com warns that any driver thinking they can save money by giving false information on their application form, should think again.
