Regulator announces management shake-up
The financial services regulator has announced a number of management changes.

The move by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) comes in light of the departure of Retail Business Unit managing director, Clive Briault.

Mr Briault leaves the watchdog by mutual consent and will be replaced on a temporary basis by David Kenmir, the chief operating officer.

Mr Kenmir's shoes will in turn be filled by HR director Kathleen Reeves.

"It is with regret I announce that Clive Briault is leaving the FSA by mutual agreement at the end of April," said Hector Sants, the FSA's chief executive.

"Clive has been an outstanding colleague who has contributed much to the organisation in his time at the FSA and before that with the Bank of England.

"I am sure you join me in wishing him all the best for the future," he added.

Mr Sants also announced that both dedicated directors would be allocated to retail group supervision and financial stability.

As a result, financial stability sector leader David Strachan will be assigned to the chief executive's office alongside Thomas Huertas.
