Storms head north
Published: 12/03/2008

There is concern that power lines and transport links could be affected and that coastal areas could be at risk from flooding.
Most of Britain has been hit by the recent bad weather since the beginning of the week, with the south-west taking the worst of it on Monday.
With storms moving further north, homeowners and businesses will be bracing themselves for more damage.
As well as properties, road vehicles are also at risk with insurers with insurers expecting a rush of home and car insurance claims.
Earlier this week, uSwitch.com warned homeowners that they could face a 40 per cent increase in their premiums if they are forced to make a claim.
