FSA up for review
Published: 06/03/2008

Financial services providers regulated by the FSA will get a chance to rate its performance over the last two years.
Respondents to the Financial Services Practitioners Panel review will be invited to comment on overall effectiveness and specific topics that the FSA has been pursuing.
"Recently events have brought the work of the FSA very much into the spotlight - and the next few years are likely to be yet another challenging period for regulator and industry alike," said the panel's chair Nick Prettejohn.
"So now is a good time for us to be undertaking this important study."
This week, the FSA announced plans to help struggling homeowners find the best mortgage deal.
The regulator said 1.4 million people would be coming off fixed rate deals this year, with the likelihood being that they will face a hike in monthly repayments.
