Auto Trader at the Junction

Auto Trader at the Junction
Motoring website and magazine Auto Trader is to team up with affinity insurance provider Junction in a new 'Joint Business Framework' (JBF).

Auto Trader originally started working with the BGL Group, which owns Junction, when it selected comparethemarket.com to provide a comparison site for AutoTrader.co.uk.

It was so successful that Auto Trader has now picked Junction to help launch its own brand insurance service - Auto Trader Insurance.

The new JBF business agreement will see both firms contributing to marketing spend for the insurance brand, with a share out of the profits.

Peter Thompson, managing director of Junction, said: "Auto Trader is a massive brand in the UK for people buying and selling their cars.

"There was a real opportunity to expand that brand into new areas, which is our speciality."

Auto Trader has at present over 130,000 used and nearly new cars on its books.
