Allianz upping sticks

Allianz upping sticks
Insurer Allianz's Home & Legacy arm is upping sticks and relocating.

The operation is moving from the hectic City of London to premises in the altogether more tranquil 'concrete cow' surroundings of Milton Keynes.

Moving to larger accommodation, expected to be completed by September 2008, is all part of the company's long-term expansion plans.

Barry O'Neill, Home & Legacy managing director, explained that the present lease was due to expire in December so the team would take the opportunity to mover to premises flexible enough to adapt to fluctuating staff numbers.

He added that the claims, senior technical and finance teams would operate from alternative premises in London and employees who declined a move to Milton Keynes would be offered alternative employment within the organisation.

Mr O'Neil went on to say: "We are committed to maintaining our high service standards and continuing to develop new products following on from the launch in January of the new let product.

"Brokers can expect to see a range of new products being launched in the next 12 months."

Allianz Group has just posted an increase in its full-year profits of 13.4 per cent.
