Insurance broker Cobra Network has charmed itself into the affections of insurance giant Zurich by extending the range of commercial and personal lines products available to its members.

The deal, effective immediately, is a "significant" development for Cobra and in the words of managing director John Lincoln, speaking to Post magazine, "brings considerable benefits" to all its members.

Mr Lincoln goes on to say that that Zurich is a "major player" in the UK insurance market and its decision to work closer with Cobra is a ringing endorsement of how his company and its membership is viewed.

Dedicated service teams in Sutton and Cardiff will provide support for the new set up.

Paul Greenwood, a Zurich director, told the Post: "Over the past three years, they have successfully demonstrated their ability to deliver dramatic economies of scale for insurers by bringing together a large number of successful brokers in an innovative way that allows them to grow their respective businesses.

"It’s a win-win business for all involved."

Cobra Network, founded in 2003, is the fastest growing network of commercial insurance brokers in the UK.
