CII appoints new board members
Published: 07/01/2008

It has appointed Sian Fisher and Peter Hubbard to the now 13-man board.
CII group chief executive Sandy Scott said that the appointments would further strengthen the organisation in its role of bringing greater professionalism and excellence to the insurance industry.
Ms Fisher, commenting on her appointment, said that the industry needed "to do more than just talk about professionalism and ethics" if it was to engender more trust from their customers and the public at large.
Mr Hubbard said that he was "delighted" to have been appointed.
"I am sure 2008 will see us move even more boldly to increasing professionalism across the insurance industry in the UK which is essential to help us maintain our position as one of the three leading insurance markets in the world," he added.
The CII is one of the world's leading professional organisations for insurance and financial services and has around 92,000 members.
