Capital One pledges financial assistance in wake of floods

Capital One says it has just made a donation of £35,000 to the British Red Cross National Floods Appeal - and it has pledged a donation of £5,000 to support those affected in the communities it operates in.
"We welcome Capital One's generous support to this unprecedented disaster. As the floodwaters continue to recede, it is clear that thousands of lives have been shattered," said Mark Astarita, director of fundraising at the British Red Cross.
"Our Floods Appeal will help people in need, such as the elderly and those with disabilities, rebuild their shattered lives
The Banking group has pledged to assist customers who are worried about effectively managing their finances following the recent floods, which hit homeowners across England in June and July.
The company is urging consumers who have been hit by the floods and are worried about managing their accounts or missing a payments to approach it and enquire about how best to manage their finances in this stressful time.
