MX-5 is the most reliable convertible

The most reliable convertible car on the market is the Japanese-made Mazda MX-5, a new survey suggests.
According to Warranty Direct's Reliability Index (RI), the MX-5 has an average repair bill of £255.59, and an Index rating of just 7.29 (calculated by comparing the cost of repair against the number of visits to a garage).
In second place was another Japanese motor, Honda's S2000, which had an RI rating of 34.31, and an average repair time of 1.42 hours.
The Peugeot 206CC was ranked third, with an RI score of 51.93 and an average repair bill of £225.76, while the BMW Z3 came fourth with an RI of 70.78 and a repair bill of £459.89.
In fifth was the Mercedes CLK, which scored 85.76 on the RI and which costs owners an average of 428.81 in repairs.
Overall, cars which feature on the list have an average RI rating of 111.6, and an average repair bill of £401.64.
