Honda has been voted the most reliable vehicle manufacturer in the UK.

A customer satisfaction survey from Which? Car magazine revealed that the Japanese automaker is a clear winner among UK drivers. The Asian marque was identified as the best manufacturer overall, while its Jazz supermini gained the accolade of most reliable new car.

And four more Honda models emerged as either most or joint most reliable models in their classes.

"Congratulations to Honda, which has topped the reliability table in most mainstream categories," Richard Headland, the magazine's editor, commented

"Honda is setting the benchmark in car reliability and it's up to other manufacturers to raise their standards to match.".

Toyota came second in the survey, with Daihatsu, Hyundai, Lexus, Mazda, Subaru and Suzuki all tying for third position.

"Several Far Eastern car makers are hot on its heels, but European manufacturers still have some catching up to do," Mr Headland continued.
