The information that you provide and the declarations that you make when obtaining a quote are the basis of the contract of insurance between you and Allianz Insurance plc.
When providing information in order to obtain your home insurance policy you must ensure all the information given is true and complete and that all material facts are disclosed.
A material fact is one that is likely to influence us in the assessment or acceptance of this risk e.g. intended unoccupancy of the property or any criminal convictions (other than motoring offences). Failure to ENSURE THE INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE IS TRUE AND COMPLETE AND THAT ALL MATERIAL FACTS HAVE BEEN DISCLOSED may mean that your policy becomes invalid or does not operate in the event of claim.
Conditions of quote
Please confirm that the following statements are true.
Statements about your home:
- My home is my main residence and is permanently occupied solely by me and my family.
- It is maintained in a good state of repair.
- Built of brick, stone, or concrete and is roofed with slate, tile, concrete, metal or asphalt.
- It is not in an area* vulnerable to damage by storms and is not in an area where flooding has taken place in the last ten years.
- It has not been affected by subsidence or heave, cracks or structural movement and is not in an area* subject to subsidence.
- It is self-contained with its own front door.
- It is not used for business purposes other than paperwork, telephone calls and computer work.
- It is not left unoccupied for more than 60 days in a row.
- It is not a listed building.
- It is furnished by myself.
*By area we mean within 300 metres of the boundaries of your property.
Statements about you and any person living with you:
- I am a UK resident/We are UK residents.
- I/We have never had home insurance refused, cancelled, or declared null and void.
- I/We have never had special terms imposed to buildings or contents insurance.
- I/We have never been convicted of any criminal offence, other than motoring convictions, or received a Police caution in the last 5 years (which is not spent) or have any prosecutions pending.
My/My partner's occupation does not fall into one of the following categories: air crew, amusement arcade owner, bookmaker, childminder, croupier, involved in the entertainment industry, furrier, jeweller, market/street trader, model, moneylender, pawnbroker, restaurateur, scrap metal dealer, sports person.
I confirm that the above statements are true and complete to the best of my knowledge and belief.
